JXN was born in Niue and has spent significant periods of his career living in Niue and New Zealand.  JXN first returned to Niue in the early 90s, to live with his grandmother and joined his family band Island Pride.  He later returned in 2002, after serving a two year mission in Wellington.  In 2004 he moved back to New Zealand to pursue his music and acting career.  He met Vela Manusaute and became part of the Kila Kokonut Krew(KKK).  During this time, he also met and married Elaine, raising two children.  In early 2013 Kila Kokonut Krew produced New Zealand's first Pacific musical - The Factory, this was JXN’s debut role as a music director.
JXN later worked as a youth worker at Crosspower NZ  and then returned to Niue in 2015 to manage Crosspower Niue.  In 2018  he produced Island Pride’s 5th album, featuring the track ‘Sipolo’ and was also the year the family welcomed their third child.
2019 saw a strong return to his music, releasing the single ‘Valaloto’, which featured on the NZ Music Chart, the first ever Niue language song on the charts.  He also launched his album ‘Talako -Dragon’, which he has been able to tour in Rarotonga, New Zealand and Niue.Through his music, JXN hopes to bridge young Niue people living abroad closer to their ancestors and motherland by the use of music and to keep the VAGAHAU NIUE moving far into the future.
