Diggy Dupe’s “Son of Scribe '' character appears in every episode; an omnipresent ‘Niuean Chorus’, rapping narration, on the theme, in abstractions. Troy Kingi also appears, as his alter-ego, P. Smith; a mystical, knowing, soul singer with Tohunga qualities. Choicevaughan lends his swag; delivering numerous, bespoke hip hop bangers to set it all alight. It is a magical combination.In groundbreaking fashion; a carefully produced and curated, full-length studio album/soundtrack was dropped alongside the first season of the show. Three tracks off of the album charted in the New Zealand Top 20. Artists from Che Fu to King Kapisi, to Melodownz, all appear on the record.
