The Pacific Music Awards Trust would like to extend their condolences to the Fuemana family, for the sad loss of Pauly Fuemana, who passed away on January 31. Pauly and OMC led the way for New Zealand and Pacific artists overseas. The phenomenal international success of "How Bizarre" was groundbreaking at the time and is legendary now.
His legacy is left within his music and includes the many awards he received as a songwriter and as an artist. Pauly walked the dream of so many and will not be forgotten. First and foremost, Pauly was a family man and our thoughts are with his wife and children, and his siblings Christina and Tony at this time. The family has been overwhelmed by the support from the music community and also the offers to perform at the services, in tribute to Pauly. Due to time constraints only a few performances can take place at the family service and artists are being contacted directly about this. Thank you to everyone who offered to pay tribute. The family service will be held Thursday 4 February, 6.30pm, at the Otara Music & Arts Centre, Bairds Road, Otara. The funeral service will be on Friday 5 February, 11am, at PIC Newton, Edinburgh Street, Auckland. The burial will be at Waikumete Cemetery, Great North Road, Glen Eden.
