NZ On Air – New Music Pasifika Funding Round

​​We are very happy to announce the return of the New Music Pasifika funding, provided by NZ On Air.  In 2019 the first round was completed, with 14 songs funded.  This year, due to an extra allocation of government funding, NZ On Air is able to provide a second round.  This funding is looking for new songs by Pasifika artists, with support being provided for recording costs, video content and other promotion costs.
 
The funding round will open Tuesday 7 May and the deadline for applications is 4pm, Thursday 21 May.  The funding is a collaboration with the Pacific Music Awards Trust and we’re excited to share this good news with everyone at this time.   It is also quite fitting that the deadline date was the original awards ceremony date.
 
Our Trust is also very grateful for NZ On Air, who have confirmed their commitment to supporting the 2020 Pacific Music Awards.
 
NZ On Air will release more details about the funding and the application process soon, which we will then share with you.
 
We look forward to supporting the creation of new Pacific music and we hope this brings some good news at this time.
