2023 PMA MUSIC IN PARKS – FAVONA
Following a challenging time, with the floods in Auckland and the impact of Cyclone Gabrielle, our Trust was happy to work on a live showcase to start the 2023 year. Hoping the event would provide something uplifting for the community, as well as the artists involved and the audience that attended on the day.
The event was the Music in Parks Favona event with Auckland Council. This was presented on: Sunday 19 March, 1 – 4pm, Boggust Park, Lenore Road, Favona, Auckland. Celebrating all things Pacific music, the PMA Music in Parks event showcased previous PMA winners alongside up and coming artists: Diggy Dupé, TJ Taotua, Razé, Junior Soqeta, Heiressofthegame, and Dmoney Da Don. With support from DJ Leemz and MCs GiantKilla and Queen Shirl’e.
Thanks to the Music in Parks production team and Auckland Council for their support and this opportunity to celebrate Pacific music with our communities. We hope the day was able to provide
some light and love through music.
Nb: We had organised the Music in Parks Mangere – Family event in February 2022, but this was cancelled due to the covid situation in Auckland at the time.
