Upcoming funding opportunities and financial support available

We hope you are all keeping safe and well.  The start to 2022 has proved to be another challenging time and we are thinking of everyone right now.  We are concerned for the health and well being of our Pacific music community, and know a key factor contributing to the challenges is financial stress.  We are therefore happy to be emailing you to share some opportunities for funding and financial support, which are outlined below:  
 
New Music Kids – Thursday 3 March deadline
For our creators of music and content for our young ones – check out this awesome funding opportunity through NZ On Air: New Music Kids. Information below and full details are on the NZ On Air website. The deadline is this Thursday 3 March.

New Music Pasifika – Thursday 24 March deadline
The latest round for New Music Pasifika opens Thursday 3 March.  This funding provides $10,000 support for  the recording, video content and promotion of new songs by Pasifika artists. Information below and full details are on the NZ On Air website. The deadline for applications is this Thursday 24 March.

Covid 19 Financial Support Information
New support schemes have been announced by the government that will support the arts, culture, and heritage sector.  The support is for self-employed people who have been directly affected by a move to ‘Red’ under the Covid-19 Protection Framework.
There are two schemes and you can only apply for one of them:

• IRD’s Covid-19 Support Payment
• Ministry of Culture & Heritage Emergency Relief Grant
