The Pacific Music Awards Trust proudly presents the Pacific Music Awards Showcase on Saturday 30 November.
This live showcase continues the 15 year anniversary of the awards, celebrates Pacific music and connects our PMA artists with our community. The day will feature performances from 2019 finalists: Revere, Villette, Sonatane Kaufusi and Runtingz Family. The showcase will be hosted by GK and DJ Flip the Script – with support from Stand Up Stand Out (SUSO) band winners C6, from Tangaroa College. The artists performing collectively represent the 2019 Pacific Music Awards, and the range of artists and genres we celebrate. This year they were finalists from the following award categories: Best Pacific Female Artist, Best Pacific Male Artist, Best Pacific Gospel Artist, Best Pacific Roots/Reggae Artist, and Best Pacific Music Video. We are grateful to have this chance to further celebrate our 2019 PMA artists and to provide our community with an amazing live showcase of Pacific music. Connecting with Tangaroa College students to perform on the day, allows the Pacific Music Awards Trust the opportunity to directly provide support for up and coming artists. This also extends from the mentoring support the Pacific Music Awards provided for the SUSO finalists this year. This showcase is presented as part of the Pacific Music Awards Trust's partnership with OMAC, with support from the Otara Papatoetoe Local Board – and this is the fourth year we have hosted the event. The showcase aims to provide the opportunity for current PMA artists to perform and for it to be a community focused event, to connect with our local audience. Make a morning of it – come through to the markets with your family and friends – and then enjoy the showcase and celebration of Pacific music. We hope you can join us on Saturday 30 November!
