2020 OFFICIAL NZ MUSIC MONTH SUMMIT The Official NZ Music Month Summit returns for 2020! Join in for an impressive line-up of industry professionals, who will deliver a wealth of knowledge across four separate panel sessions on the day. The Summit is on this Saturday, 23 May, 10am-4pm. This is online and it is all free! Here is the programme for the day's sessions: 10.00am – 10.05am WELCOME TO THE 2020 NZ MUSIC SUMMIT Cath Andersen, NZ Music Commission and Teresa Patterson, NZ Music Managers Forum 10.05am – 11.00am SUPPORT LOCAL L.A.B - FROM INDIE BAND TO NUMBER 1 The local success story of the summer! Find out how L.A.B went from the summer touring circuit to a Number 1 airplay track and NZ Top 40 chart success. 11.30am – 12.30pm STREAM LOCAL MUSIC PRODUCTION IN AOTEAROA New Zealand producers are shining on the world stage and forging new career pathways. We hear how turning to music production has enhanced their career. 1.30pm – 2.30pm FOLLOW LOCAL BENEE – FINDING INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS Last year Benee was the toast of the Tui’s – this year her songs are all over TikTok, helping propel her to international stardom. 3.00pm – 4.00pm BUY LOCAL THE IMPORTANCE OF MERCHANDISE Pre and post Covid-19, merchandise is a fantastic income stream for artists with more scope than ever to produce artist related items for your audience to love. The May Book is packed full of great information and details the work of all the industry organisations: APRA|AMCOS, Independent Music NZ, the NZ Music Commission, the Music Managers Forum, NZ On Air, Te Mangai Paho, and Recorded Music NZ.
