![]() The Pacific Music Awards Trust has been working on activities for their Tautua Programme and started the year with the Music in Parks Mangere - Family event, which featured performances by Church & AP, Tree, Lepani, LaCoco, Silika Isaia, and DJ AlGoodie. The Trust supported NZ On Air with the next funding round for New Music Pasifka. Congratulations to the 21 Pacific artists confirmed to receive support for their new singles! The next deadline for New Music Pasifika funding will be Thursday 8 July. Next for the Tautua Programme is the industry workshop series, with the first two workshops confirmed for Tuesday 13 April with MMF and Wednesday 9 June with APRA. Here are the details for the first workshop, that we are hosting with MMF, the Music Managers Forum. The main details for the workshop are: Date: Tuesday 13 April Time: 6.30-8.30pm Venue: 312 Hub 1 Paynes Lane, Onehunga, Auckland 1061 The guest speakers for the workshop are as follows: Teresa Patterson – MMF Mike Hall – APRA Dean Cameron – Recorded Music Andy Low – DRM Tana Tupa’i and Avina Kelekolio - Tomorrow People Jo Oliver – Soundcheck Aotearoa Each of the speakers will have time to provide information about their organisations and services, and we’ll ask Tana and Avina to share their experience as self managed artists in the music industry. A key element for the workshop is to provide a bridge between artists and the industry organisations, connecting you with information and in particular providing details about how to earn income from your music.
